2005 Atalon Corestone Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

2005 Atalon Corestone Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Notes
"The growing season was fairly normal, maybe just a little on the cooler side. The grapes were harvested on November 2, 2005. The leaves were turning yellow and the vines were getting ready to go into the winter. As such, the berry flavors were evolved and rich. The deep purple skins stayed in the fermenting juice for 19 days (color and flavor extraction). After which the wine was aged in barrels for 23 months before bottling (softening of harshness and integration of flavors from the oak barrel)." - Tom Peffer, Atalon Winemaker
